The acceleration rate of data growth and the emergence of new data types (such as images, tweets, etc.)
have made it necessary to create more methods to visualize, present, and analyze data for a better understanding.
Therefore, data visualization techniques have been expanded to include new and complex techniques corresponding to
the exponential rate of data growth. This paper aims to investigate the use of data visualization to explore and gain insights
into the labor market in Saudi Arabia. Varied visualization techniques were used such as (map, scatterplots, theme river, etc)
to give the best representation of the data. This visualization of labor market data in Saudi Arabia enables us to gain critical
insights into the following four aspects: women’s status in the labor market of Saudi Arabia, foreign workers’ effect on Saudis’
employment rate, economic activities in the labor market in Saudi Arabia, and a discussion of the important factors that affect
labor market distribution in Saudi Arabia (including administrative areas, age groups, and educational levels).
This paper also provides related works and suggestions for future improvement.
